"So... Big!"  The size of our God matters.  Isa 40:21-31 describes our God as greater than princes and rulers.  Our God is a great God above all gods... greater than all the powers in this world that would oppress and rule over us... powers of darkness like fear, anxiety, illness... even bullies, mean-spirited inhuman ones.  Mark 1:29-39 Jesus demonstrates greatness over illness in Gospel, healing disease, subduing demons.  Awesome God, Great Is Our God, Jesus, Name Above All Names, Praise to the Lord, the Almighty.

"So... Tender!"  Jesus is moved to compassion, touching the untouchable, gracing and caring for the unwanted, loving the so-called unlovable.  In Jesus the God beyond our comprehension, the great and awesome God is moved to compassion, demonstrating God’s compassionate touch.  More love, more power... than we can use up… healer of our sickness, our heartache, our insecurity and even self-loathing or bad self-image... our self-condemning. 
Our God is Sooooooo TENDER!
 
February 19   Transfiguration of our Lord    8:45 and 11:00   “So… Intense!”

"So... Intense!"  At the Transfiguration Peter and others are told to "listen to Him" the beloved Son, even when He has intense things to say, like "the Son of Man will suffer and die and rise again"... things we don't want to hear... Theology of the Cross, God's love and character is 'sacrificial' in nature.  And we are called as disciples to follow Jesus in sacrificial love.
