Minnetonka Lutheran Church
There are many and various ways to participate in music at Minnetonka Lutheran—from singing hymns in the congregation to singing anthems in one of our choirs, from playing an instrument during worship to leading the congregation in song in the worship team or as a soloist. Instrumentalists can serve too, through special music and in cooperation with ensembles.
Sharing our musical gifts in worship is a servant ministry. We sing or play, not to bring glory and praise to ourselves as musicians, but rather to glorify the One who made us and to bless the people who gather to worship with us. Before each rehearsal and worship service, Pilgrim choirs say the following prayer:
Bless, O Lord, Thy servants who work in this place.
Grant that what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts,
and what we believe in our hearts we may show forth in our lives;
through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Whatever your musical gifts or inclinations may be, MLC invites you to use them to give glory to God and to inspire God’s people in worship.
