First Communion Classes

The first session of this two part class will help students understand the history, significance and meaning of communion. The second session will prepare students to recieve communion, allowing them the opportunity to taste the elements and experience the communion practices of both kneeling and intinction.

It is also a great opportunity for parents to be reminded of the importance of this sacrament. Parents and other adults have commented that the sessions have been informative and interesting.

Here at MLC, we reccomend students take these classes and begin communing in fifth grade (traditionaly at the Monday Thursday worship service, on Thursday April 21st this year). However, students of other ages who have either not yet taken communion, or who are communing but have never recieved first communion instruction, are invited to attend.
