Family Camp
There are several opportunities for families to spend time at Camp Onomia together. More information is available on the Onomia website:
Minnetonka Lutheran has long been partnered with the minsitry of Camp Onomia, a Lutheran Bible Camp in Onamia, MN. Bible camp is a powerful place where kids (and in fact people of all ages) are invited to engage their faith in new ways in a bold and beautiful setting.
There are many opportunities throughout the summer for people of all ages to encounter God at camp on the shores of Lake Shokapee, but MLC is lifting up the week of July 8th-13th as a week for our elementary students to attend.
Students from MLC have already signed up for this week, and Pastor Paul will spend a couple days hanging out at Camp during this week. There are three excellent programs being offered this week, for students completing grades 3-7
Military Family Camp

In its 7th year, this extended weekend is a gift to families who have a parent serving in the armed services for our country. It is a tremendous opportunity for support and family fun on a weekend which celebrates our national heritage. Combined with prayer and worship in the Christian community that Onomia provides, this is a weekend you will come back for year after year.
If for any reason no matter your family's financial situation finances stand between your child and experiencing camp, scholarship assistance is available.
EXPLORERS: completed grades 3-6
Here comes the most fun week of your summer!
You will experience all of the activities that make camp great… cool Bible studies, afternoons filled with activities and sunset campfires!
NIGHT OWLS: completed grades 4-7
In this awesome new program, campers stay up late into the night and sleep late in the morning. God’s cool creating is a whole different adventure during the nighttime hours. How about a campout and signing in a candle-lit worship? You will find this week a great break from your normal routine!
FISH CAMP: completed grades 4-7
Our wily camp counselors become your fishing guides as we set aside extra hours in the early morning and later evening to go in search of monster fish on Lake Shakopee! You will also learn how to clean fish and fry fish over an open fire! All this in addition to the other great stuff camp has in store for you. Sunfish beware…
we are coming for you! Bring your fishing gear and be prepared to have a blast!
